If a resturant messses up your order what do you do?

Lets Say that you ordered a hamburger without onions buy they bring you the burger with onions in It, what do you do? Do you send It back, or are you too shy?

I hate ketchup on my hamburger. I always tell them, no ketchup, no mustard, no mayo , no nothing. If it comes with tht shit all over it I sent if back. When they just scrape that crap off it and bring it back to me I get pissed and tell them that If I just wanted the crap scraped off f I could have done that myself. I make them cook me a new one. If they keep on making the same mistake I don't go there anymore.

That depends on what you ordered, I usually order trout, but if they bring me salmon I'm fine with that.

If it's an error I can live by, I'll just eh it and eat it.

If the errors interferes with me being able to eat the hamburger, I'd send it back and ask for what I ordered.

I'm not too shy but I weigh the disruption of getting the kitchen to correct my order vs making everyone else wait for my meal to be remade. Is it gonna kill the whole vibe and ruin the evening? I'd politely mention it to the server just so the kitchen is aware but there's no need to throw a tantrum. The goal is always to make the evening enjoyable for everyone. Examples...

A hamburger with onions I didn't order. Pull the onions off. Problem solved in 10 seconds. I wouldn't even mention it.

A $50 steak ordered medium rare comes out well done. I'd mention it but probably eat it because I don't throw off the whole flow of the meal for everyone. A new steak may take 20 minutes to cook. Not the end of the world.

Just piss poor food. I'd mention it and send it back and then find the most inoffensive hard to screw up thing on the menu. Or I'd just leave, not eat, and not pay.

At no point would I take I take it out on the server. They only get points deducted for lousy service, not a lousy kitchen staff.

Depends on how significant I think the mistake is.
If I think it's a minor issue I'll probably eat it.

If it's something I can't eat or really doesn't like I'd complain.

Depends on the mistake. If it something that I eat and the same price or more. I usually would eat it. But probably mention it to the server. In today’s world. You might be waiting for an hour to get a replacement.

I was at a Denny’s and our food took awhile and when it came was cold. We ate it anyway but at the checkout counter the mgr asked how our food was. I complained that it was cold. We got our meal free
