@james Though I rarely eat there, McDonalds own the French fry world. They have the best even though I always prefer In & Out for fast food. McDonalds selects and breeds its own potato's, grows them, ages them and prepares them. Complete vertical integration. No one else can do as well. They were even better when beef fat was used as part of the frying medium but residents of India objected to this because of their belief in bovine divinity so they changed it to an oil w/ high smoke point which is almost as good.

That really depends on personal preference actually and I like crinkle fries but I think steak fries would be standard because those are the ones that are usually homemade
