where i live, you pay less for a healthy meal from a proper restaurant at this point and the "fast food" restaurants actually now take as much time to prepare your food. fast food has plummeted in quality and skyrocketed in price over the past decade or 2.
422 opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. With fast food you dont know what your getting. And more.
McDonald's commercial says they serve over 7 billion hamburgers a day. There's not that many cows in the world to do that. So what is in their ambergers
I think fast food is disgusting last year I changed the way I eat and what I eat as I get older I want to be come healthier. My body felt like I got beat up every day.
And I started to realize that the foods that I were eating were good foods.
But not good for you in some cases. I quit using cooking oil. That made one big difference. I mean hell of a big difference
And then I started eating avocado and an artichoke everyday
Gut health. # 1 thing to fix in your body. I started taking 3B vitamins. I started taking d three. And the thing ISIS those vitamins dissolve and don't get to go to the places. They're supposed to go before they break down. Not unless you eat them with ice water and keep your system cold. It gets to the places. It's supposed to go I feel 10 times younger. I feel 10 times better. I just look good. I take beet root. I take oranges and lemons. I take the peel. Dehydrate them and then turn them into powder salad. Anything everything for flavoring and it's so good for you.
For fast food if I went to buy 2 big max fries and cokes. It's twenty five thirty bucks here
There's a bar down the street. I can get null2 hamburgers, big hamburgers. Real french fries that are you can't eat them all for twenty dollars and it's real food. I'm gonna tell you right now. If you're eating junk food fast food as you get older it's going to destroy you. It's already is destroying. My mom had dementia alzheimer's and if I wouldn't know what I know now she might still be alive.
Another major thing you can do for yourself is r original original is one of the best herbs for you in this world. And if you get. The herb oregano. oil, it will clean all the parasites out of your body. That's disgusting but it's true and if you will start living life. If you have pets.
If you eat certain types of food you have bugs in your body and it's destroyed you from the inside out. For me I say stop buying fast food
A regular food nowadays is getting to be just as bad10 Reply

9 moI see ground beef at $3.79 a pound. So $0.95 for a quarter-pounder. Hamburger roles on sale 2 packs of 8 for $4 so $0.25 for a bun. Cheddar Cheese is $2.90 a pound. There are 24 slices in a pound so $0.12 for a slice of cheese. Each condiment you add is probably a penny or two in extra cost. Due to BOGOs I see potatoes at $1.92 a pound. So A large french fry is like a quarter pound of potatoes so $0.48. You might need like $0.10 of oil to fry them in, but you can reuse the oil like 4-5 times if you put it in a jar. Soda runs a $1-$3 for a two liter bottle which would be like 2-3 large sodas. So $0.33-$1.50 for a soda
So bun + meat + cheese ($0.25+$0.95+$0.12) = $1.32
Large fry $0.48
Soda $0.33
So for a couple of bucks you could eat something similar at home or drop like $13 after tax for the same thing at a fast food burger joint. It doesn't make sense to buy a fast meal deal at $13. At $5 maybe it's reasonable if you don't want to eat anymore cheeseburgers that week.

Anonymous(18-24)9 moIt always has to be or it wouldn't survive. One slip by the fast food industry where people stop going and it drops off and the whole thing will collapse. They know to the penny what they can and cannot do. You can have a $9 Big Mac as long as you have a $1 hamburger available.

the fact that most of the major food chain stocks are flat lining or declining says they don't know what they're doing.
9 moIt is but the quality has deteriorated A LOT.
01 Reply- 9 mo
yeah portion sizes get smaller, quality and service gets worse but the price doesn't stop getting higher xD
AI Opinion
In my culinary adventures, I've noticed a similar trend in the fast food industry. Surprisingly, what was once valued for its speed and cost-effectiveness is now battling with longer waits and higher prices. It's ironic that sometimes a delightful meal at a sit-down restaurant offers more value and quality. The rise of healthy, fast-casual eateries is also reshaping the landscape. 🍔🥗 For me, the emphasis now is more on taste and experience rather than the speed of service.

9 moThere's a few more local fast food places that still make sense, but the national chains are all more expensive than a better meal at a real restaurant at this point.

interesting. and where are you from?

North Dakota

that's surprising. i thought they would be cheaper in the usa than abroad.
9 moI can afford it but I don't the big chains to be actually fit to eat. Burger King and Jack in the Box sell "milk shakes" that have no dairy in them at all. It tastes like dry wall mud with sugar in it. They recycle the frying oil over and over. It's gone beyond just "if you eat fast food you'll get fat". I actually wonder now if this stuff is even safe to eat.
01 Reply- 9 mo
yeah i can afford it as well. but if the decision is between a burger menu with maybe an burger or a fancy steak at a restaurant for the same price, i'll go for the latter.
4.9K opinions shared on Food & Beverage topic. Fast food has gotten expensive over the last 4 or 5 years. There is not much difference between eating at Wendy's or McDonalds or eating at a halfway decent sit down restaurant. Sometimes I get takeout from a nice restaurant in town that is pretty reasonable and always has good food.
01 Reply- 9 mo
yeah i feel like there was a time where fast food was cheap and fast so it was viable. but these days it's neither cheap nor fast so there really is no reason to eat this unhealthy crap, when the same money and time investment can get you a proper meal.

9 moI’d say Chipotle and Chik-Fil-A are thriving HARD. Still definitely lots of traffic at Wendy’s, McDonald’s etc too. The sit-down restaurants have more turnover. We don’t have too much in the way of “healthy” takeout options, in reality. The only SweetGreens I know of is in the financial district in downtown Boston. Nothing in the suburbs.
People seem fatter, lazier, and more in search of quick gratification than ever, to be honest

Fast food continues to remain popular here as America or UK/Europe.
However it may decline in another - what - 40 or less years 😘 then it'll all be Sushi and Seafood03 Reply- 9 mo
i live in Europe and here you pay less for a higher quality meal in a proper sit down restaurant plus the food doesn't take any longer to get to your table anymore because since mc donalds and burger king introduced the automated ordering process, they don't care anymore how long you wait after you ordered, cause you already payed.

@genericname85 depends on the demographics / numbers : after all, I consider myself a average person to working class person - and hell : I love good home cooked meals yet while my metabolism remains, and I'm still early 30s, I love a fast food treat - treat 🤭👀
- 9 mo
yeah i love it too once in a while. but the prices are really insane for that low quality junk. nothing wrong with eating junk once in a while if you're not fat. but if it's rubish, it should have rubish price too xD

9 moIt is no longer viable. Better off buying something from store and making yourself. Healthier and less costly.
Only exception is Taco bell... some mexican like burrito, chinese food...
06 Reply- 9 mo
i heard people get diarrhea from taco bell? xD is this true? we don't have that where i live.
- 9 mo
I only touch it with a stick, like if I see some left on the ground I'll poke it to see if it moves or runs around. Otherwise I don't know. I've never seen an ant eat it, that would be a good experiment. If they turn up their noses, you know it's bad.
I'm joking... I know people that lived on it and never had a problem, as of yet, they have not grown any more arms nor has an arm fallen off, but that was decades ago they at it. I can only imagine the lack of quality now.
You are way better off not having it around. I feel bad creating toxic landfills with that stuff... scientists 200yr for now going to have a lot of fun.
Where the heck is it you live you don't have TB?
Note... It's also known as Taco Smell, Taco Hell, etc..
Enjoy my sarcastic humor, other people have to pay a lot to hear it.
- 9 mo
germany xD. we only have KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Dominos, Subways, Mc Donalds and very rarely also a Five Guys.
- 9 mo
yea I saw more FG around in France. It seems a better quality than the others, but still... God only knows what is in burger. better to buy the steak occasionally. Even AI knows that, I've crammed a porterhouse into a computer and it didn't' complain much.
The rest of it... blech! KFC used to be good, those are't even chickens... and they cut the beaks off them so they can pack them into tight cages and they don't kill each other but eat junk to get fat. It's sick and people that eat it become sick.
Best advice I can give Europe..."say no" to USA the way you have been for decades. I support you in that! Tell us to F out of your food supply, lest you turn into us...![Is fast food still economically viable where you live?]()
This is why you rebuild your miiltary... to keep us at bay.
- 9 mo
it's funny mc donalds is still getting away with calling their soy bean/saw dust mix "real beef" just cause the company making it is called "real beef"
- 9 mo
yea, it's insane. I think we might actually meet the definition of insane.
You know they are trying to convince us to eat powered bugs right and its better than other proteins. ugh...
Go to Strasbourg France and enjoy some good food and drink. Amen.
9 moThe "meal seals" are almost as expensive as a real restaurant.
12 Reply- 9 mo
"meal deals" that is.
- 9 mo
Yeah same here

9 moFast food is still cheaper than food at a sit-down restaurant. I prefer eating at home, where prepared food is the cheapest, and the best quality.

Anyhow - food should not be ''economic'', but rather be feeding us well.00 Reply The $5 McValue menu is quite helpful during lean economic times.

9 moEntry level they're about same but the good restaurants are more expensive
11 Reply- 9 mo
here this depends on what you're gonna order. if you're gonna buy one cheeseburger, it's cheaper but nobody is sated with just one cheeseburger.

9 moIt is overpriced and generally unhealthy. For a few dollars more I can get freshly prepared healthy food or if I cook at home, healthy for far less.

9 moAs we learn from Kitchen Nightmares and similar shows, with planning, fresh ingredients are better and cheaper, but you have to put in the work, and time is money
11 Reply- 9 mo
Especially how fresh the lettuce, pickles, and cheese are in a Big Mac ; 👀 I know what I'm ordering - after all, I ate at home the last 5 nights, it's McDonald's night - says others out there 🙃🫠 and etc extrapolate
9 moI wanted a snack and looked on Uber eats. What used to be the dollar menu was now 16 bucks plus tax, tip, amd fees. I made a peanubuter sandwich instead. Haven't eaten fast food in 3 months. Waste of money

9 moFood is always more expensive when you have someone else cook it for you.
01 Reply- 9 mo
Yeah. But it used to be cheaper when you got it in a fast food chain where some underpaied student fried your food vs. A proper sit down restaurant with an actual chef. But the prices are reversed.
Fast food is cheaply available in my country. So People consume regularly.

yeah i'm guessing it's gonna be the same with all American chains in Europe.
Opinion Owner9 moIndeed, we have McDonald's, KFC, Pizza Hut, and Burger King.
- 9 mo
we have these as well and also a few five guys restaurants. they are insanely expensive. you can get a good steak menu for the price of a burger and fries from there xD
Opinion Owner9 moI know, but I'm a vegetarian, so I mostly rely on veggie burgers and plant-based nuggets.
