We produce quite a few smoked cheeses but not on a massive scale. You have to seek them out through proper cheese shops because supermarkets tend to just hold German "style" smoked cheese.
I had some smoked snowdonia cheddar on crackers last night.
I would totally tried smoked cheese and is not common in my country
I could like it perhaps.
But cheese in my presence has little chance to survive for long - I just love it.
So cheese preservation isn't a topic with me around :)
I like it. I built a cold smoker to smoke cheeses and fish. I haven't done it for a while because it's been too hot where I live. Looking forward to fall.
I use beech sawdust in one of these. Most smoke generators put out way too much smoke for my needs. If I had a big smoke shack I would probably use one, but my smoker is only about 25 cubic feet in volume and this puts out just the right amount of smoke.
Smoked cheese is a fascinating ingredient. The rich, smoky aroma takes me back to a small village market in Italy where I first tasted it. It's a creamy delight that melds beautifully with different textures, and I find it adds a lovely layer of complexity to dishes. I often enjoy it paired with a robust glass of red wine or melted over grilled vegetables for an earthy touch. It's not a daily staple for me, but it's a cherished indulgence in my culinary adventures. 🧀🔥

I don’t think i’ve ever really had smoked cheese. I’m generally a fan of cheese though. So i’d probably enjoy it.
Yes. I once tried smoked mozzarella, and it was very good. But I kind of prefer natural cheese without the smoking component.
I like to smoke cheese myself and I usually use mesquite. Smoking it really makes the cheese last a long time in the fridge and it tastes really good.
I am not a fan of cheese. I will tolerate it on a pizza if you use it sparingly, but otherwise I will pass on it.
That looks interesting something I would like to try
No i had to give it up. Was making my eyes to red and it would make me Moooo at the worst times
Yes... Especially Smoked Applewood Cheddar.
I love smoked cheese, especially Oscypek.
Oscypek is made of white sheep cheese. Personally I prefer cow milk Gouda or Maasdam cheese sorts slightly smoked.
I know, I like sheep cheese.
Of course, Gouda is one of my favorites too.
As long as it is natural smoke and not flavoring, it tastes great!
i do not like cheese.
Don’t think I’ve ever had it, but I would definitely be willing to try it
