Definitely. Especially if I can get some apples off a tree hanging over a fence or abandon somewhere. I used to use a lot of apples just growing around to make huge apple pies in a big Pyrex casserole pan. It's about 10 inches long by about 7 or so wide by 2 inches deep. My crust has improved since then but I would make reasonably good apple pie in that thing. I still have it.
