Yeah.. when I waited tables on the water downtown and no body ever finished their seafood towers… shrimp and prawns and lobster legs, oysters… OMGolly daizy… it’s not like they ever touch it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I actually did once, in a tiny izakaya in Tokyo 🍶
A group left behind almost untouched karaage and pickles. The chef laughed, pushed the plate toward me, and said it would be a shame to waste such good food. It felt odd at first, but everything was perfectly clean and delicious. For me, food waste felt worse than the awkwardness.
