Are you into boba tea, or do you think it’s totally overrated?

Because I swear people are either OBSESSED with it or they think it tastes like sweet milk with little gummy aliens at the bottom. 😭 Personally I think the vibe of getting boba is half the experience. Like walking around with a cute drink in your hand, picking flavors, the oversized straw, the aesthetic little shops… it’s literally a lifestyle at this point lol. I get that some boba is like overpriced and stuff… but the same can be said for Tim’s or for the American folks the equivalent of a Starbucks girlie. XD

Honestly, I think you’re right that the whole experience is part of the appeal. It’s not just about the drink itself — it’s the flavors, the vibe, the aesthetic, walking around with it, and making it a little social ritual. it can NOT be compare to Starbucks… even Starbucks has started drinks trying to add boba tea flavor and the boba toppings itself!!! Starbucks has fallen into the appeal itself is what I’m sayin.
