Wine lovers… what are the best wines?

I’m kind of asking more about types of wine as opposed to brands or vineyards, but any and all suggestions will be appreciated.
What are the best kinds of wine?
My preferences currently tend to semisweet to dessert wines, but i’m open to all recommendations.

I've had a Chianti from a maker called Melini which was pretty good and unlike the next few... affordable

1997 Chateau Pichon Longueville (shared a bottle with my friend in exotic rentals)

1982 Chateau Petrus
2012 Chateau Petrus
Different time but same friend however only sampled at no cost to ourselves (he was leasing them a Royce to make deliveries as a van would apparently be unsightly to the monied classes)

all great wines
Dry tannin up to a stone fruit middle (with a whisper of almond in the Longueville) and mild spice on the back (cedar in the 1982)

Respectively £400, £6,000 and £750 a bottle at the time
