Them more alc the better. Frosty.
Let's try the Preseli Bohenian pilsner... since I'm told I was looking for a Bud, this would be a Czech beer... Czechs also make Budvar which is a bit like Budweiser but a touch better as many refer to Budweiser as "near frozen gnat's piss", so by roundabout association which bears no logic...
My fave used to be be this

A New England Style Pale Ale so I would go with the St. Croix
Well… that depends on my mood. If i’m looking to get right pissed, i order whatever has the most alcohol and two shots of whiskey.
If i’m gonna nursing and/or eating, i might start with a pale or fruit forward ale. If i’m just sipping and enjoying the ambiance, i am usually safe with a lager, kolsch or pilsner.
I'll ask the server or bartender to recommend something they serve that comes closest to what I originally asked for.
I ask the bartender or server what they drink, and then pick something else, something with an interesting name.
I don't go with their choice because they're just trying to sell me something, probably something more expensive, and one they get a kickback on.
You’re choosing the wrong bars, mate.
I would quite simply ask what he/she could recommend instead.
I like black beers like guinness stout. What I'd do, is get a shot of something else on tap and choose from the style I like best. If nothing tastes right, it's water or a mixed drink.
@purplepoppy Nicholas goes for Pepsi, water or grape juice 🍇 no alcohol at all. Not even alcohol removed. 👌🏻☺️😋😈
@purplepoppy thank you gorgeous lovely lady 😋 keep being you.
I go for the style of beer I like most, dark lagers and stouts.
I usually ask for a piña colada. If they don’t make it I’ll get a rum and Coke. The other night for my birthday I got a Bahama mama liquor drink
@purplepoppy I don’t really drink alcohol, but I will have a Coke with grenadine. It taste like a cherry coke.
Odds of them having nothing is low given I've had more than one bartender telling me about mixing drinks given my sessions will always include whisk (e) y but have included cider, vodka, port and cognac,
No problem. I love trying new things. I'd probably go with an IPA or lager style or maybe a wheat beer and see if I can find a new favorite.
I tell him the bartender to give me Jamison neat with whatever beer chaser they think goes best with it. I don't have time to deal with 30 beers I don't know. LOL
If they don't have root beer, I'll go with 7Up, if they don't have that, I'll go with Sprite or Canada Dry ginger ale.
I'm definitely going for the Redhead From Heaven...
The cheapest that I actually like.
I'll try the oaty porter.
i ask for a similar one
Say no to alcohol lol 🍺 🍷
@browsingthroughthe I enjoy beer in moderation but not the hard stuff really
I order something I might like
Probably a lager, pilsner, or stout

In a new pub with unknown brands, I treat it like a little adventure 🍺
I usually start by choosing the beer style rather than the brand. If I’m in the mood for something light, I’ll go for a lager or pilsner. For more flavor, I’ll ask for a pale ale or IPA, or a stout if I want something richer.
If they have anything local or on tap, I pick that first. Many of my best drinks were unknown local brews I tried this way, like a tiny craft lager I once discovered in a backstreet Tokyo bar that tasted way better than any big-brand beer.
