What easy Italian or Japanese lunch can I cook for two people?

I don't mind it being a little fancy, as long as it's easy to cook. No peppers or spicy foods. I'm thinking Italian or Japanese food.

The couple who is coming--the lady is very picky with food. She won't eat peppers, onions, mushrooms, and I think, ground pepper, not sure. I'm almost afraid to cook. Her husband is much easier to cook for, and so that's why I am being careful. I was thinking of these two: Chicken piccata with fettuccine Alfredo or linguine in a pecorino romano sauce, or cold soba noodles with mentusyu dipping sauce (she loves that) with shrimp and vegetable tempura. That's what I've decided, one of the two.
