Would you eat a golden syrup cake?

[Kingofkings1992]

Sounds yummy! 😀💛

I'll try just a little taste

Not for me 👎👎

[rgb008]

Golden syrup sounds a little suspicious 🤫🫢

[shish_kebab]

Are you thinking what I think you're thinking? 🤔

[Iron_Man]

I will eat it. What kind of syrup is it? Jack Daniels lol 😂

[purplepoppy]

It's a common UK store cupboard ingredient. It's a light coloured treacle commonly used to make flapjacks, and cakes, or drizzled on pancakes. It's like light corn syrup but with more flavour. The tin has a picture of a dead lion covered in bees and a bible quote.

[Iron_Man]

@purplepoppy Sounds good. Sure I would try it. I don’t know about a dead Lion as a picture on it covered with bees all over him but I’ll have to overlook that and I’ll focus on the actual taste of the syrup. I would like to read the Bible quote.

"Out of the strong came forth sweetness" not a direct quote but its from the book of judges and references Samsons riddle

[Iron_Man]

@purplepoppy Thank you so much, my friend. I appreciate it. 😊

[shish_kebab]

Sounds yummy. I'll try a loaf or two.
