Tonight I went out for an Indian with a group of friends. After the main meal the dessert menu came round and I sensibly went for the pistachio ice cream because I'm an adult. However 3 people who are allegedly adults went for punky the penguin and another for Mr Eggman.

You only get a tiny bit of ice-cream in a penguin and I don't get why adults want a crap plastic toy but I guarantee if you go for a group meal at an Indians someone will order one.

So are you one of those people?

Rhubarb is a commonly grown plant in the UK where it can be seen poking through piles of manure. The leaves are inedible, but the stems are valued for dessert recipes such as crumbles, pies, tarts, cakes, and, of course, rhubarb fool. It has a tart sour taste and needs you to be generous with the sugar. I usually mix it with apples or other fruits.

It's not technically a fruit but is usually referred to as such in the kitchen. It's a polarising fruit that people either love or hate. But where do you stand?

I made this wedding cake, with help from my staff of course, for a client. What do you think? Would you eat it or sit on it?
