that is one of the biggest money makers for them. A glass of fountain soda will literally cost them pennies. And some places won’t give you refills.

When I waitressed, we gave everyone one free refill and charged after that. The reason we did it, is because people would start to hang around and just drink soda or coffee. It was a busy restaurant and those tables needed to be bussed for other customers.

You agree with their value statement, and purchase a soda from them, but then you change your mind and think you should be getting more for your money?

If you don't like it don't buy it. Nowhere on the menu board does it state that you can have an endless supply with one purchase.
