like at a stadium, they have to let you bring in some kind of water. So bring your own. Why would you pay six dollars for something which is sold in a store for like four dollars for 24 of them? That is literally robbery and you’re an idiot for paying for it

I was at a baseball game last weekend and it was about to end in about an ending and I see someone come back with like three water bottles for the whole group. So he just went and spent all that money on water? So stupid.

Lots of people will pay insane prices for convenience, and an $8 bottle of water is a great example of that. I carry filtered water to work every day and anytime I travel, but even I occasionally find myself in a situation where I have to pay extortion prices. I do my best to prevent that, but you can't always plan for everything.

There are NOT always water fountains or accessible water in EVERY situation. In most? Yes. And so of course I take advantage of that. But exceptions DO exist. Thankfully, not too many.

Example: a lot of concert venues are in outdoor spaces - football fields and the like - with no permanent infrastructure. Porta-potties are brought in for restrooms and beverages are for sale (at wildly inflated prices), but there are no drinking fountains.

There are other examples: various kinds of conventions that are in convention centers that don't have much in the way of water access outside of a hand sink with an automatic shutoff and a shallow depth, which makes filling a water bottle nearly impossible.
