Polls: Food & Beverage

When you grab PB, Jelly/Jam or both do you use the knife to get them out or use the spoon? Of course, we all know you still need a knife to spread it. Unless it's a dinner roll or you just want to eat a jar of goobers.

I don't need to say anything here.

I bought a fennel bulb today and the supermarket cashier asked what it was and what you do with it. I politely told her it was a vegetable and you eat it.

So have you ever come into possession of a fruit or vegetable and not had a clue what to do with it?

I love both of them. Both are cheesy and can have a nice set of vegetables in them. But which one do you like best?

This time it's Welsh desserts

Pwdin Eva. No one knows who Eva is but we like her pudding. Apple crumble with a cake on top instead

pwdin Eryri. A light pudding made with breadcrumbs, suet and a few raisins.

Pwdin Marmeled/Amber pudding. A custard tart made with marmalade. Nothing to do with Amber Heard

Crempog and ice-cream. Big Fluffy pancakes with ice cream.

This one is on Scottish desserts

Cranachan. Oats, cream, raspberries and whisky. Scotland in a glass.

Dundee cake. A fruit cake with lots of almonds on top

Typsy Laird. Like an English trifle but with jam and whisky

Clootie dumplings. Like a Christmas pudding but lighter and less rich

This one is English desserts

Sticky toffee pudding, a date sponge pudding topped with toffee sauce.

Spotty dick, a plain sponge pudding with raisins. Usually served with custard

Eton mess, dropped your pavlova? No problem just shove it in a glass.

English trifle, does a trifle contain jelly? Probably the most divisive question you can ask in England.

Yeah, I know flan isn't pudding but it's similar, so I just put it here.

Tonight, 25th January is Burns night and Scottish people worldwide will be tucking into a plateful of haggis, neaps and tatties all washed down with a bottle or two of whisky.

So will you be joining any burns night dinners or are you just having a supermarket haggis at home?

I think I might say toast.
