Why are girls so boring these days?

Question

In my experiences in the past, I find most women pretty boring. The ones I have dealt with have no hobbies, no substance of any sort. I lost interest the moment they couldn't put their smartphones or revealed their Facebook or Instagram addictions. 

When you read a woman's online profile it is usually the most boring and generic thing ever. They have the most boring pictures or pictures of food. They list the dumbest things for hobbies.

Listening to music is not a hobby 
Eating food is not a hobby
I love to laugh is not a hobby 

Also, I don't want to hear about how big of a douchebag your ex is. You decided to date him so don't give me the victim blaming excuse. 

Most women only bring looks and potential sex to the table while expecting so much out of men. Why so many women like this?

No idea. I keep my hobbies to myself because I assume most guys will find them lame. When you tell a guy you barrel race or that you think the greatest thing in the world is hauling horses to the middle of nowhere and camping for a week or two, he looks at you like you have two heads. With all the negative or simply lack of responses I've gotten I just don't share hobbies anymore. I do them on my own time.

It took a long time for me to tell my boyfriend about my hobbies (this was before we dated) and we've been together for 3 years now and he's only just started expressing an interest in supporting me at my races or going riding together :p

Like I said, most guys find my idea of fun to be quite lame. Although to be honest, I think playing video games for hours on end is the biggest waste of time ever so I mean, different strokes for different folks, I guess.

You’re pretty damn right about that… you’ve got a point. There are too many girls who haven’t got much substance to them and are pretty boring.. its just a fact. The fact is that there are a lot of girls (nothing personal) who expect to get everything in life with their physical appearance and superficiality, but the fact of the matter is that if your boring and don’t have much to offer, you won't keep anyone’s interest for long.

First of all, internet women are not real women. Most of them on dating sites are attention feeding succubi. As for hot girls on the internet being boring? Make that demons of the inner most circle of hell. Take the most attractive people add the anonymity and mass audience of the internet and what do you get?

Anyway, you're right to an extent in real life too. The reason is many rely on their hotness as a crutch. They usually only care about beauty and just let life come to them. Women in general are quite passive but hot girls are another level. Add in the mass attraction of a hot girl and that becomes dynamite. You now have people with enormous expectations for simply being attractive. The internet is the breeding grounds for these women, stay away. You have a better chance in real life where you're not constantly at 100:1 odds.

Honestly I don't have any experience on dating sites, but I agree that those profiles sound like the most boring person and shallow person ever. BUT I disagree that all girls are like this. Perhaps dating sites just attract an unhealthily large portion of boring people.

I know many girls (unfortunately not single or incompatible with me) who have full, varied lives. They are career women, but they also have hobbies they love to chill on. Forensic scientist, recreational marathoner, cafe hopper, band-for-hire, scuba diver, overseas backpacker, comic artist, game designer, karaoke lover, collectibles hoarder, hard-core gamer, career women etc..

I don't know where to look, but start looking at a better place for better girls. :)

Lmaoooo I'm far from boring, I just lose interest in filling out all that Information. .. I be damn "you'll find out when we chat" wth... that's the reason if ever you come across a profile of mines.. it's generic, cause I honestly get impatient with all the questions they ask for.. if I put down every single thing I'll be to tired to chat afterwards, and it'll be nothing to talk about... and hold up you got some nerve you guys put up nonsense too.. like pic of you and friends out drinking looking terrible like what's the fun in that? And pic of sunset on the beach and etc.. saying the lamest shit like "yeah girl, you see that sun set , I'd like to share that with you girl" if your the right one"... like oh goddd. There's nothing great looking at guys put up pics of random chics and football jersey. .. or sunbathing Lmaoooo so please stop trying to diss Us, although I'll agree pictures of food is pretty lame ladies, ugh we gotta stop that non sense

I don't know, maybe the types of women you come across are like that. Fb tends to favour 'sheep' in my opinion, or at least it does for the most part. I've noticed some women can be like that, a lot of girls I went to school with tend to post really anal stuff all over Facebook and it can annoy me a bit but then I only have a couple of close guy friends and I'm not used to really any female company other than my sister.

I do have substance though but I don't like fb or talking about myself very much, my hobbies are reading, baking, horse riding and I'm a gymnast and figure skating. I also love animals and conservation and I have a profound interest in reptiles having 3 snakes and a lizard of my own. I hope you come across some women you connect with better, they are out there I assure you :)

Boring girls usually look the hottest and flirt the most because they use a lot of their spare time to devote to their appearance. Girls with hobbies are busy doing other stuff. They can still be attractive, but they're not self designed to attract attention in the same way.

People on dating sites will put anything on their profiles to cover up the fact that they probably just sit at the computer all day. They have to make themselves look interesting.

I have real and enjoyable hobbies like playing instruments, playing hockey, skating, watching sports, that kind of stuff. They help to create conversation :)

I'm not gunna lie I can be boring at times just lay and read stuff on phone and all but when I'm not doing that I either go shopping, play video games (ps3) , workout , work on crafts, or just go to the beach. But out of all that you'll find me mostly playing games for I am trying to prestige still at this moment lol. I'm girly yet like a guy at the same time (; sad life though having more guy friends than girls.. I only have 1 friend that's a girl

Judging by this you're not really coming off as a catch yourself man. Plus, you're doing the online dating thing which is a draw for all the socially inept shut in's who have issues, what do you expect? Sure, you might find a decent person on there now and then, but many of them are people who couldn't find a date otherwise and it's usually because they are boring people with no hobbies. If they weren't boring people with no hobbies, they would be meeting people at places where they engage in their hobby, not some silly dating site.

Get off line, start engaging in your OWN hobbies more and socialize with those similar groups of people instead of wasting it getting angry that people on dating sites are boring.

I think that a lot of people quit their hobbies now'a'days compared to earlier, simply because the need to be constantly entertained is not persistent anymore. We have TVs, phones, computers, you name it, we are more easily entertained now than we were.
