Why do most teen girls only care about looks or reputation?

I am guilty to this. She doesn't feel attraction to you and you can't start building a relationship on a rocky foundation like that. I like a guy and he is nice to everyone but me. He teases me so much and he almost goes too far. He just messed up my whole thinking process. I am so sorry but inve we jump into that it takes a lot to get out. It hurts me too. The exact same can be said about teenage guys, honestly. Of course there's a lot of young people who aren't like that, but the majority of teenagers are shallow. (I'm 18, I would know, lol.)
Guys seem to go for the cake faced cheerleaders. Regardless of her intellect or personality.

Some girls are like that, and if that's how they are, then they probably aren't the type of girl for you anyway (: it's a phase before girls are mature enough to look at the big picture. It's not about image it's about really caring. If they can't see that, sucks for them.

Then again, what I see a lot of teenagers do that I think IS immature is when they select who they date on the basis of looks, NOT because of their attraction preferences, but because of how they will be perceived as a result of how they think she "rates" on that arbitrary 1-10 scale.
