Do girls pee faster than guys?

Every time I've heard a girl pee, it doesn't seem to last long compared to us guys. I've seen my current girlfriend pee a couple of times in the open and I've noticed that her pee bursts out almost in a gush compared to guys, and it's over in like 3 seconds. So is that the reason perhaps why girls pee quicker?

Women have a much shorter urethra, so many women are capable of peeing at a higher rate than men, especially if they have well toned abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, but not all women *choose* to pee quickly because when women pee, there is a much wider range of stream outcomes than when men pee, and the bladder-pressure while peeing influences this a lot:

Pussies vary in shape a lot too. Some women have 'innies', i. e. no mound, just a slit, and if they pee slowly, they're much more likely to self-wet with pee running down their buttocks, so they'll choose to pee with higher pressure to break the liquid surface tension that would keep their pee clinging to their skin. Some women have 'outies' or prominent lips that are a nice 'low point' for pee to fall down from, so they can keep the stream tidy by choosing to pee slowly, and it just falls straight down.
Some women have pussies that project a tidy stream from their urethra without their lips interfering with the stream (or they can use two fingers to spread their lips to get them out of the way of the stream), and others have pussy lips that are tightly closed. A girl might choose to use high pressure to direct a stream away from them (e. g. outdoor peeing) so they have less dribbling between their feet and less mess on their shoes. But if she doesn't want to use the spread-lip technique, and has pussy lips that are tightly closed, high pressure can end up spraying everywhere, which is very messy and usually undesirable (but can be a great party trick).
Some girls don't have the abdominal strength to pee fast, or have other reasons to choose not to.

Also your question depends on age. As men get older, their prostates might enlarge and restrict flow rate to much slower than when they're young. Some times it's so bad they need surgery just so they can pass urine. As women age, usually they have the opposite problem - with urinary incontinence, so peeing becomes way too easy.

Back to your question, all questions of technique aside, some girls do spend less time actually peeing, but if you want to know if girls pee with a higher flow rate than guys, you have to collect some data from your readers. If you like this question, feel free to collect some data yourself, and then comment below with " I'm a [guy/girl] and I just peed XXX mL in XX seconds." If enough people answer, you might be able to see some interesting trends. :-)

I read that the position of a woman's bladder, makes it so that the bladder can't fill up as much as man's bladder can. So they have to pee more frequently, and could be why they don't pee for as long. In older men, the prostate can slow down how fast he can pee. I don't think younger guys would have any reason not to pee as fast as a woman, although I suppose it could be possible.

Women have a shorter and larger urethra opening. So yes, women would urinate more quickly.

Women also have more "stuff" that's internal. The uterus, fallopian tubes, clitoral "legs" . Women and men have the same size bladder, but it's more uncomfortable for women to hold to capacity because it pushes up against other organs, therefore they seem to empty their blades more frequently. Less urine equals shorter pee time.

Maybe. It doesn't take me all that long to pee. It usually takes me like less than 10 seconds before I'm done peeing unless I got a full bladder.
