Why do girls become really touchy and flirty while drunk?

I'm laid back while drunk but girls take it to a new level. Their are girls who I'm friendly with and say hi to when we cross paths that can't keep their hands off me me while drunk. Some have BF's and don't like me like that. The other girls are so touchy and I don't understand how alcohol does that to people. Guy generally lose sex drive or become more laid back while drunk but girls get crazy. These girls don't like me as far as I know.

Alcohol lowers inhibitions, making one feel no longer stopped by any insecurities or most social norms. There are a lot more of these 'rules' working not so much in girls' favour, like guys will be more interested when you play coy, wait for the guy to make the first move, etc..

Which is probably why girls seem flirtier when intoxicated. It's perfectly okay for a guy to approach a girl he's interested in at any point. Girls are always warned to be careful or they risk scaring off the guy by being too forward or whatever. Hence a little bit of liquid courage is able to make a girl feel truly 'free'. :P

Most guys I know get super horny/touchy while they're drunk.
It's just because when your drunk you forget all about being presentable and having a filter. So you just do or say whatever comes to mind

It really depends... My drinking buddies are all guys but I'm very reserved. I will get touchy with guys I have a crush on though. I've actually admitted to my crush that liked him while drunk.
