Do girls ever drop their pencils in front of you so that they can bend over and get close to you?

The girl who sits next to me in one of my classes drops her pencil under the table in front of me sometimes and then she leans down to get it. Whenever she does this, I don't notice right away that she's dropped it because it coincidentally only happens when I'm turned talking to my friends. I don't notice until she's basically leaning over me and rubbing against me. She doesn't seem otherwise THAT interested in me, so is it just a subtle way of saying "HEY PAY ATTENTION TO ME"?

My first thoughts, yes. But my second thoughts are what kind of attention does she want? She obviously thinks her body will get her noticed. She isn't even trying to talk to you. She's probably self-absorbed, or not very bright. Next time she does this, bluntly ask her if she's trying to signal that she's ready to mate. Trust me, she'll stop.

Well, I guess by the way I wrote in the question it sounds like she is really overt and in-discreet about it, but she's actually quite subtle about it (hense why I asked this question, to gauge if it actually happens). I think she is well aware that she has a nice body, especially because one of our mutual friends actually told her that I find her attractive once. She's a really nice person, one of the nicest I know. If she's at all self absorbed, it probably doesn't extend beyond a healthy ego because she's very kind to everyone.

Actually, I was planning to ask her out tomorrow as a dare haha. I'm not actually expecting anything to come from it though.

If she does this often then yes, she's looking for attention. Look her straight in they eye next time and see how she reacts. Some girls do that to show off and sometimes it's because girls can be clumsy around their crushes.

I don't know how much the eye contact thing would really do. We have extended eye contact in concervastion already. I don't really think she's crushing on me either, but who knows? Lol
