Girls, How to explain to your coach that your on your period?

What can I say? And of course there's a guy who goes to my swim team as well and the they're both going to be suspecting something... I'm afraid they're going to think I quit swimming... so is there an excuse?

Saying it's your time of the month is fine, but if that feels too personal, "I have painful stomach cramps" or "I'm really not feeling well" should work just as well.

Just tell your coach. As for the guy, unimportant. He'll know you haven't quit when you show up next week.
