I think she from her childhood was like that, but until she was under 18, she couldn't do such things under parents control, but as she got control of it she chose the different path...
Since she has been on cameras so young she is exhausted of being on cameras and maybe that is why she decided to exploit the career she made and made lot of money, cause she is planning to leave the cameras, who knows, what she might do next.
Her career is going downhill, but she is making money.
And once she is down she might quit and a few years later, you see her as an amazing person with a different career, maybe an anchor or author (she has lot of experience) or some other unique person, you are willing to embrace.
