Do guys really not know that we have to wipe after peeing?

I was at my boyfriends last night and went to the toilet. After peeing I realised there wasn't any toilet paper so I called my boyfriend to bring me some. He came into the bathroom with a roll looking confused and said "I thought you were only having a pee". I told him yeah and now I have to wipe. Then he said "why?". I told him girls have to wipe after they pee. He still looked confused so I showed him my vag and he was so shocked to see it covered in pee and my inner leg too. I said that's why we have to wipe. I was pretty surprised by this. Do guys really not know about our need to wipe?

I've heard of a few guys who don't wipe. They shake a couple of times and stick it back in. I assumed some men wiped as well... but this is the first time I ever saw a man say he did.
