Why is she so touchy-feely with me?

I met a girl in my class back in August but we never talked much until a few weeks ago. We've gotten pretty close. I feel like I might have gotten feelings for her eventually but she says she doesn't want a boyfriend (not to me, we've never talked about that, just in group conversations and stuff) so I didn't let myself fall for her and it's all good.

So recently, whenever we hang out alone she's super touchy feely. She puts her arms around me, sits in my lap, plays with my hair, rubs my back, kisses my neck, rubs my thighs, lays her head on my shoulder. All that stuff. And she always asks about girls I've dated, what I've done, etc. So I thought maybe she doesn't want to date anyone but she wants a hookup. But I'm 100% sure she doesn't do casual hookups. I did my research lol. So what's the deal here? Why is she acting like this with me when she clearly doesn't want anything more than a friend?

She's flirting with you, probably seeing if you'll make the first move. I don't know of a girl who would be that touchy feely with a guy she wasn't interested in.
