How would you feel having a girlfriend as an Exotic Dancer?

I am a professional Exotic Dancer. I really enjoy what I do, but what really sucks about my job is that many men don't respect me for it. Every time I try to meet a man, lets say for example a coffee shop, book store or whatever, I feel like I have to lie about my profession because I don't want them to see me as a "slut" or a "whore". I am in reality a very outgoing person, I love life. I have personal goals and dreams life every "normal" girl out there. I wish I could find someone who respects me for who I am and what I do without seeing me as a sex symbol.

My questions to you guys: (PLEASE BE HONEST) What do you think of Exotic Dancers?. Would you have one as a girlfriend? Would you ever marry one?

I have a friend who dances and she offered me the opportunity to enter into a relationship, or her version of a relationship. The benefit of this arrangement was marginal at best... basically, I could provide her with a child and in return I would receive an adult dependant for life. My response;

A supplemental benefit in the declination of your proposition allows for the avoidance of future examination from more lucrative and rewarding opportunities elsewhere. Obviously, a direct consequence of complacency and boredom from living in an unfufilling role.

It depends on a great deal more than whether she's an exotic dancer or not. I would not dismiss one as whorish, nor would I think of her as an object because of it.

I'd be curious as to why she was doing it, and I would want to know a great deal about what she thought of it. It would bother me a little (it means that my date is dancing nude for other men, after all), but no more than, say, dating one of the Playboy girls.

If I was interested in getting to know a woman, and found out that she was a dancer, it would make me a bit curious, but not really change things. (And I would hope she wouldn't assume that I see her as nothing more than a sex symbol) It is ultimately your profession, not who you are; your personality, dreams, and desires are far more meaningful than how you pay the rent.

For that matter, if I fell for the girl, it wouldn't matter what she did.

You shouldn't lie about it; the guys who are shallow enough to write a girl off because of what she does are probably not the sort you want to be dating, and the rest will only find it dishonest (or think that you are ashamed of what you do).

I LOVE exotic dancers! I don't see them as sluts/whores or anything of the sort, it takes a lot of muscle and skill to be a great dancer! I don't know about men, but if I swung that way I'd have no problem dating an exotic dancer. Men are retarded, you shouldn't have to lie about your profession, because sooner or later they'll find out and feel betrayed that you lied. You don't need to quit either, it brings in a lot of money & you're getting a great workout, so if you meet a guy who's wanting you to quit, make sure he's got a fat wallet that he's planning to spoil you with.

Other then that, I say keep doing what you're doing, never settle. I hope you find a guy who's secure enough with himself to have an exotic dancer girlfriend ;)

I meet my girlfriend of now! At a gentleman's club. She approached me and ever since we been liking each other. Started dating and I really dnt mind her doing what she does. She a mother of two and I the same. Father of two kids as well. This relationship started unexpextedly and is great so far. We are still getting to know each other and that makes it more the worth while. It's still a chase. I only see her once a week. At times during the week during her 15 min break I stop by for a kiss and a hug. We both work and have responsibilities. I love that she has her priorities straight. Big turn on. We make each other happy. During the week we hardly ever bring up her dancing. It always about the two of us and things happening around us like everyday people. She is who she is and I respect her for her and what she does. It's her life her choices. Just like me. No one should get in between you and what makes you happy. Yes I would have her as a girlfriend. Marry her that would depend on the relationship and where it goes. But yes I would.

Also, just like every one else unless she gives me a reason not to trust her then yes I would end it I have been down that road and I dnt like it. Trust. Honesty communication very important!

Im kind of in the same situation I met this girl in the club and we hit it off real good, we hang out outside the club, she kisses me and hugs me all night. But I think she feels the same way too, she says its hard to love a stripper, I admit I get jealous whens he has to go make her money, but I know she's making money to support herself and hopefully go onto other things in life. In my view its just a job, its not the most glorifying job, but I respect the hustle. I think exotic dancers are just people. Yes I would date them, and if it worked out yeah marriage could be a possibility. Too many stereotypes are out there that make people think dancers are just golddiggers and just out for money. Its like being a server at a restaraunt or in commission based sales.

You should never be ashamed of who you are, but if you feel like you have to lie about your profession like you mentioned than it's really time to re-evaluate your situation. I personally cannot trust a exotic dancer as a girlfriend, not because I think they are sluts or not trustworthy, but it's just that when you are constantly being put under the pressure and having multiple men throwing their wallets and breaking their bank for you, I can only imagine the pressure. The men who creeps around strip clubs hoping to take a stripper home, you men need to seriously re-evaluate your lifestyles, you gents need to have more game than just waving cash in woman's faces, cause in the end cash gets you nowhere except a big expensive divorce where woman are victorious and you are left with nothing but blue balls.

There's nothing wrong with being a dancer. I would never get into a serious relationship with one because I would be uncomfortable to "share. " I wouldn't be comfortable with knowing that other men will drool all over you every time you go to work.

A person should never be defined by their profession. I am currently doing my best to get through the defenses of a dancer. Just trying to be a friend is tough enough, I could not imagine What I would have to go through for a date. I do respect her and her job. I think she is more like a psychologist then a slut.

There's a lot of factors there.. If I met a girl and found out she was an exotic dancer I may feel uncomfortable at first and as long as she wasn't sleeping with the patrons I could probably accept it.
