Question for Mexican Girls, what is attractive about Mexican guys who act hard? Lol "Cholos"?

I have a Mexican best friend and we talk about this all the time. Im not trying to stereotype, but I can't understand why a lot of Mexican girls only want Mexican guys, specifically the ones who wear jewelry or dress "thuggish" lol. I see amazing looking girls, walking down the street with these scuzzy looking guys and I don't get it. Is the lifestyle fun or something? I feel like they are good girls usually too, good as in not trouble. I know Mexican girls will have some insite even if they don't agree with the stereotype. Thanks :D
