Girls, Why do girls always take off their shoes after a night out or going to a friends house?

Im saying this because most of my female friends and especially my girlfriend do this, after a night out or going to a friends, they take off their shoes (mostly heels).

I want to know if its my girlfriends problem or if its women in general. Thanks :D

Don't most people take their shoes off when they get home after a night out? My feet are usually killing me after a long day in heels... especially if I've been out dancing. Most other girls are the same.

I don't know about you, but in my culture, it's polite to remove your shoes upon entering someone's home.
