Are muscular men more attractive?

Just a quick question for all you women or men, whichever I dont mind. Is a man who is muscular and lean more attractive in a womens eyes. I say this because Im a big guy and I've been lifting weights religiously for 2 years now but finally Im going to start shedding some body fat. I've lost 25 pounds already and Im hoping to be done by July. Lets say hypothetically there was a girl that I've known and she has known me since I was big, would that girl or girls in general like it more once I hit 9% body fat or when I finally become more shredded or lean. I know my face will tighten up and my abs will start showing again. Are women more attracted to that muscular look rather than a big, little overweight look.

Side note: I already consider myself an attractive guy but I just want to know if a lean muscular guy is more attractive. Im 220 pounds and my fat free mass is 190 so Im not that muscular that its disgusting

It's true. I have gotten much more attention from women, even from those who claimed that they wouldn't care about such superficial things, after achieving my six pack abs than before it. In fact, it seems to me that the more muscular I get, the more attention I get, although I am sure that there is a point after which it starts becoming too much.

People in general respond better to me. Building muscle shows dedication, commitment, and a whole list of pleasant things that I'd enumerate if I wasn't so damn tired. In short, it garners respect from others (even other straigh males).

Not to me personally. Defined musculature isn't something I'm attracted to, I just think it looks weird. It's cool if a dude is quite broad, as long as the abs and chest and whatever aren't defined and he just looks smooth but when there's a six pack and stuff, that's when it gets too much for me. I think I'm in the minority though :)

Muscles aren't attractive to me. I like someone to be skinny-ish but not muscled (Ron Weasley, Rory Williams, Leo Valdez, kinda Sherlock Holmes from BBC) that being said I don't like people just for their appearances.

No if your a great guy that makes you far more attractive than losing a few pounds ever will. The thing about getting muscular is that it may make you more comfortable in your skin and that is what woman typically find more attractive, if you find a way to do that with the extra pounds then woman will find you more attractive.. you have to do for you whatever will make you feel better... everyone else will notice.
