Girls, Why do girls "ball tap" guys/their guy friends?

A lot of girls at my school like to "ball tap" their guy friends, and it really annoys me since... ya know. But why? I'm open minded to the fact that there might be a reason that I see girls do this around my school (typically to their friends) and they laugh and stuff, could you enlighten me on why you do it if you've done it or seen it done?

I have no clue!! When I was in school that was really big but it was always guys doing it to each other esp. the boys from the all boy school. Didn't get it then, don't get it now.

Huh, I don't get how it was then, like guys shouldn't do it to each other since we know how much that hurts. That's weird, though I've heard that some guys do it to each other still, but there's not a lot of guys in my school so that might be why I don't see that.

we call it 'sack whacking' in Australia but honestly it is not just a girl thing guys do it to their mates too. It's really just a playful joke

Oh, well in my school, guys don't do it to other guys, maybe since there's not many guys in my school. It's mostly girls. And it sure doesn't feel like a playful joke haha..

In America guys and girls do it to girls too. It’s funnier when you do it to girls because guys just bend over, whereas girls drop to the ground.

What is a ball tap?

It's when you hit a guy "where it hurts" with your fingers/hand (hence the "tap"). It's usually a light hit but, of course since they're all ultra sensitive and whatnot, it still hurts like your insides are being squeezed in a vice.

Call them out on that and ask them why they think that's appropriate or why they have any right to touch another person there without consent.

If they hit you then tell them that's also inappropriate and they have not right to. But be assertive and call them out on it.
