Is she just seeing me as a friend or is there a chance to be more than a friend.

Whenever she says it though, she hesitates to say it. It's more like "I think it's... cute" or "You are... cute." She always says the "cute" part really quietly and hesitantly.

Thank you for your responses. Other than calling me cute, she also calls me sweet often. I am fine with being friends, but I was just wondering how she thinks about me. She is a very flirty girl -- she compliments me a lot and makes me feel happy. Again, regardless of what she thinks of me, I appreciate all of you guys' time and opinions!

Um can you describe your freindship with her more. It is really hard to tell just from that.
From what it sounds like she is trying to compliment you and cute is her way of doing that. If you think that she is just saying it try teasing her like"aw I'm just cute and not handsome." I have several female freinds and cute just describes them. However I have actually been called cute recently a few times and to me it is always like yay I'm cute but what kind of cute? Come one can I get a bit more of a description than that?
Right now I'm trying to work my way out of the freindzone with my female freind. I have flattered her with a variety of words however she really just seems to enjoy being called pretty, and cute. The best way I can describe her to you is that she is a shy good girl that is beautifully cute. She is actually a women it just takes a bit to see just how mature she really is.

if the "cute" is describing your actions. I think you will need to find a lot of other hints to be able to say it's more than a friend but you know my girl always referred to me as cute. When we became really close she would call me hot instead. Think back to when she says it and note whether or not what she says was in a certain tone?

she definitely likes you in my opinion. She doesn't want to offend your manly side by saying you're cute, but every girl who has a crush on a guy either thinks "omg he's so cute in everything he does" or "omg he's so sexy/handsome in everything he does."

Perhaps I'm reading too much into this, but it seems like she's being condescending when she says that.

If you want something from her, demand it, and if she doesn't want to give, then move on. Don't wait. So many girls don't know dick about your business, and she'll waste your time with passive sign bullshit until outside circumstances eventually end it.
