What does it mean when a girl says I’m “kinda cute”?

For context a girl at the gym followed me for a little and then approached me and said that I was kinda cute and wanted to see if she could get my number.

I know a lot of times if somebody says kinda cute it means that they don’t want to mean and don’t want to tell them they’re not very attractive. In my situation she approached me and hit on me like a guy would with a girl. I feel like it’s a half ass compliment?

She just has an informative way of talking. Maybe despite the confidence she showed, she displayed some nervousness when saying 'you're kinda cute', using more words to describe the situation to sound more submissive. Saying 'you're really cute' might have been too nerve-wracking for her

I see. I think it has to do with not coming to forward? I’m assuming it’s hard for most women to even put themselves in such spots. If I was kinda half cute to her I don’t think she would even approach? I wouldn’t approach somebody who was kinda cute to me

Right, it would be too humiliating for women to be rejected after announcing to the guy that he's the most attractive guy she's ever met

I get what you mean , but I think she meant you’re really attractive , it’s just an expression. I myself would describe a guy I like as kinda cute
