Girls, What's it like to wear a skirt?

When you get dressed in the morning, how do you decide if your wearing pants or a skirt? Whats it like to wear a skirt? A girl friend of mine I've known since 3rd grade (not a girlfriend) became a cheerleader when we started high school. Im dying to know what its like to walk around like that. Im also too chicken to ask her so Im so glad I found this site.

I spoke with my old friend who's a girl and I'm going to her house tonight. Cross your fingers and hope with me that I have the guts to talk with her about this.

Makes me feel very comfortable during the hot summer months. I also wear it to look presentable as long as it is appropriate to wear. Since I'm 5'3, petite and slim, I can get away with short skirts, just as long as I have shorts underneath or stockings, if it doesn't cover underwear. I would not wear skirts with nothing underneath it. It has to cover. Otherwise I wouldn't wear it. It also depends on the weather too. But it also depends on how the skirts are designed. Pencil skirts seems to be too constricting to me, and since my thighs are a bit wide because of fat, it can be hard for me to move, or take longer steps. If its a flowing long skirt, It's better, but it has to be at least ankle length, nothing longer passed that. However not all girls like skirts. In fact, from what I've been hearing. A lot of girls from 10 - 21 don't skirts too much because it associates with girly-girl stuff. Which isn't all the time true. It's how you like your fashion sense, and depends on the message you show from what you wear. But with the cons that comes with wearing a skirt, like boys/men thinking its okay to look up your skirt, to touching your butt, or putting their hands underneath your skirt, and guys trying to rape or molest you it gives them easier access to succeed then if she wore something else. Mainly being perverted guys, girls don't often feel comfortable wearing them. So it is understandable. It defers from girls to girls.

It depends on their personality. If they don't have nothing to associate a dress with concerning their own body, morality and values, they won't wear them. Unless they get a job that requires them to. Some don't even like dresses! But that's just them. Some are real tomboys that they'll dress in guy clothes to get rid of any association of them being girly. But it throws guys off, because they don't know if she is a dyke, lesbian [this adding it in there just in case], or something else entirely. However girls want to feel attracted in some way too if they're like that. However I just think that they haven't build enough character to really know what they want yet.

Their perverted, and is thinking about sex if not just with her. That's why they do it. The more fear they place on a girl, the more control they have over her, and the easier it is for them to have sex with her, because she can't fight back. Then because they made her too easy, they will her her a whore or a slut. It's sickening. This is why girls are trying to protect theme and ignoring sexual advances from men. Because of the frighten ordeal they experienced. I had this done to me before, and it still scars me to even think about it.

I know what you mean about tomboys. My friend is big on sports besides cheering. She wears really grungy clothes sometimes and girly stuff other times. I had an old jeans jacket that I stoped wearing and she asked me if she could have it. It doesn't look girly on her at all and it's weird when she wears it with a skirt.

Its not like I don't think about sex but I would never think of looking up a girls skirt as a way of imagining what sex with her is like. If a girl pulled down my pants to check me out I'd be very scared of her too.

But sadly there are some men around my age who don't care that a woman does that to them. They wouldn't care if she touches him sexually and give hand jobs in public! A lot of them have no respect for anybodies privacy and boundaries anymore. That's why I'm a virgin now and wait for marriage for sex or any kind of sexual activity. But I'm celibate by choice. So because of that, I'm mindful of what I wear. And what kind of impact it could have on somebody.

To them it's not. They get the thrill of it anyways. And if another guy who thinks like that hear you say what you just said, they'll mock you, accuse you of being gay or not being a real man, or how your crazy for not wanting a girl to touch like that. I already had that happened to me about how I don't want no guy just putting his hand on me sexually of any kind even if he was somebody I'm dating. That's disrespectful for me. I can't tell you what to do, but as you get older, please remember to keep your hands to yourself, unless she doesn't mind. Men in general lack respect these days. So wearing certain skits and outfits depends on girls. But that is how it is.

Skirts are awesome. As others have said they make you feel girly. They are comfy compared to pants on a warm day. I wear them to work about half the time but then I have to wear pantyhose too - which is really warm.

You must be pretty close to your friend if she's taking clothes from you. Why not ask her? If I had a friend who wanted to know something like this, I'd give him a chance to try one. The yard at the house I grew up in had a tall fence around it. If I knew you and you asked me, I'd let you pick one and try it outside. It's not the same as wearing one to school, I know but maybe your friend will help you out.

Well I did. I was at her house watching a TV movie last night. Towards the end of the movie it's mostly commercials anyway so we talked. I reminded her that she's borrowed my stuff and she said it was more roomy and comfortable. I told her I wondered about skirts since she wore them all the time. We had a nice conversation. Well, if i decide to wear a skirt, its usually for a special occasion either parties or weddings & etc. When wearing a skirt, you feel less restricted, the skirt flows, so u can twirl in it, u don't have a bind like when u wear jeans or pants. You can move easier and u feel pretty & girly. :) This depends cuz there are different types of skirts & lengths. Like wearing a mini skirt is nice cuz it's keeps you cool when it's hot (like shorts) and u can show of your legs & look cute. Pencil skirt which is from fitting to the body & even though keeps your legs close together & restricts u from spinning around & taking large steps, it's still looks cute. :) The only downfall to skirts is if there is a strong wind lol, it can blow up ur skirt or the skirt rises up, so a girl has to wear shorts underneath.

They're way more comfortable than pants. Skirts make me feel sophisticated as some of them look really nice, I feel like I'm on point when wearing them, more confident, and more of a woman. Whereas pants are just plain , there is nothing special about them.
