In your case, when I would have felt physically threatened, I may have been more cautious than usual about my word selection in calming her down. But in everyday life, not me personally. I'm really small, but my confidence is very pronounced. These women can be a foot and a half taller than me, but I have been told by adult women that they are intimidated by little ME. That is ALWAYS cool to hear. :-)
No, I don't. I just do whatever I can do. But take that experience as a learning lesson not to just flirt with any and every guy you think is cute or flirts with you first. You never know when the girlfriend will show up. As long as she didn't put her hand on you, just walk away. She should be getting upset at her boyfriend not you.
a Oh my gosh, that's awful. I have never used my height to threaten or intimidate anyone smaller than me. I am but a gentle giant. I think for human beings in general if something bigger and larger lumbers along at us in a threatening way, well, we feel understandably threatened. Maybe chalk it up to a one time--that chic was really crazy--sort of thing because from the sounds of it, it's never happened to you before.
I'm 5'9 and I'm a very peaceful person, i understand if shorter people are intimidated by my height and posture, but it goes both ways tbh.

The last time I checked, it's common for men to like petite and small women. I'm not speaking for all men, but that's what I always hear, and maybe that tall lady was just threatened by you.
