Girls, I gave my crush a bear hug and she gave one back too... is that a sign?

So today I saw my crush for the first time in a month. None else was around , so I figured "what the hell" and for the first time since we met, I had the guts to give her a hug... as I walked towards her , i could tell she was facing me smiling and when I went for the hug she was like "oh" and hugged me back , I without thinking rested my head on her shoulder for a few seconds and I am pretty sure she did the same thing...

when you give a girl a bear hug and she gives one back... is this a good sign?

definitely, if she didn't like you then she probably wouldn't hug back much, or it would be awkward and weird. If she did hug you back, that is a good sign.
