Is 5'8 short for a man?

I'm 5'8 and when I go places I see a lot of guys my height or a little shorter.. so I guess I'm average height? and a lot of girls I see r shorter.. like down to my neck or my chest.

actually sientifically, guys average is 6 ft so yes your short, but to a 5 ft 2in gal like me, it's still tall so dont worry too much. My dad's 5ft 3. average height for girls are 5 ft 7in.

5'6 to me is the beginning of being short, anything under that is short. 5'8 is a nice height, not too short, not too tall.

I think 5'4" is the average for a woman in the US. So, yes, you should be taller than a lot of women!

Well, that depends, starting in which country you live, If the majority of male are longer than 6 foot tall, like in Scandinavian region, than yes, you're short. I'm 5'9 tall from Southern Brazil and I'm on the national average height
