Why do Girls bite their nails around other people? This Girl sat next to me and started biting her nails casually - we are quite good friends but she's quite shy and doesn't speak up much.

Is this some kind of habit or is it common with Girls?

Yes I use to bite my nails then I stoped because my ex said it look ugly now I let my nails grow and I love be them long
