Why are this guy's friends staring at me?

ok,this guy has never spoken to me but we were making eye contact often and he even smiles at me.but I stopped noticing him because I thought he wasn't interested as he didn't approach.

then he tried to make eye contact many times , this was when maybe I heard him talk about me to his friends.now I think he has given up as he looks at me rarely but his friends continue to stare and some smile at me.could that mean this guy is still interested or is it something else?

what did you hear him say about you when he was talking to his friends? and where do you guys see each other? smiling at someone who you never spoke to definitely means something. and if his friends are smiling at you too then that just adds to it. well if he was interested in you to begin with I'm sure he still has interest now, it's just he probably feels that you aren't feelin the same.

It sounds like he finds you attractive, but is nervous. He may have an impression you are not interested, with someone, out of his league, or he may just be shy.
