It's not about thongs or other underwear. It is about the shape.
The picture that you posted puts emphasis on her hips. We love that. Like in the picture underwear needs to be V shaped. When it is straight going from left to right the effect isn't as sexy but just nice. So the V shape is what we love to see. Underwear that does that makes it more atttractive. Even more than nude.

Mmmh, depends on my mood. If horny, then probably yeah, I'd have to agree that they look pretty appealing because they're basically non-existent.
But if it's just a cuddly/sleepy kinda mood, I guess they might ruin it. Pantie-shorts or however you call them I think are the cutest in that situation!
