Is being short such a turn off for girls?

I have girls told me they wish I was taller and I get rejected all the time, unlike my taller friends or guys that I have seen. I am 5'6 by the way.

5'6! You can find a girl whose shorter than you. I'm 5'3 and I know plenty of girls a lot shorter than me. It'd be understandable if you were 5'2...but, your really just average...your not even that short. Most girls like taller guys because they don't want to feel masculine being taller and most guys don't want to date girls that are taller than them for the same reason. You should be happy with your height. its honestly perfect enough to date girls between 5'0-5'6.

I prefer taller guys, I just do - but I'm not going to reject a guy just because of his height. I mean, the guy I'm sort of seeing at the moment isn't that tall, in fact he's pretty short.

Basically, if I get to know a guy, his height isn't going to be a defining issue; if I like him, I like him; if I don't, I don't.

I'm 5'9" and I've dated a guy who was 5'4" and we had no problems. As long as the guy doesn't have a complex about it and we're compatible personality wise I don't care what height he is. Some girls do but there are those of us who just appreciate a good guy.

I have a friend who is quite short, and he has no problem meeting women. It's all about confidence. If you can practice and get better at conversation, being a little bit cocky and funny without coming across as too arrogant, your height won't matter to most women.

Its one thing to meet and talk to women. The real question is how many women has he slept with or had a relationship with?. I don't have a problem approaching women. As the matter of fact when I go out I approach at least 10 girls and on average I talk to 4 of them. But the thing is, is that I have the impression that they don't see me as man enough.

If you think they don't see you are "man enough", then that's the impression you're giving them... that you're not. If you get your head focused then you will be fine. Takes practice too.

My short mate has sex with a lot of attractive women, but at the moment he is in a relationship with a sexy flight attendant who is even older than him... so he's overcome being shorter AND being younger.

I do prefer taller guys, but there are girls out there who like shorter guys. A girl will come along :)

I think most girls prefer taller guys, myself included, but I don't consider it a turnoff. I'm currently dating a boy whos two inches or so shorter than me.. And I'm 5'4, trust me you aren't that short. (:

I'm 5'6" too but if I really, really liked a dude and was attracted to him, I would give him a chance despite a height difference.
