I agreed to date my ex after seeing him in a suit the first time, and he stopped wearing his suit once I dumped him
Men look good in suits that fit them well (but not suits that are ill-fitted) because it makes them look successful, like they are going somewhere in life or have a place in society, and flatter every body type. A man needs a reason to wear a suit and the means to afford one and have it tailored. A man with a suit probably has a decent job (and will have a better chance at finding one since he looks more presentable and successful)
Suits make men feel and look important. A man in a suit understands what society accepts of him. A man in a well-tailored suit knows he looks good and likes the positive response he gets from wearing one. A man feels more confident when he wears a suit and is inclined to behave more respectfully. Once a man wears a suit, he feels inclined to live up to his current look since dressing well improves performance
Suits imply style, esteem, and success; suits encourage confidence, respect, and effort
Suits flatter a man's body. Suit jackets emphasized shoulders and narrow the waist (vests add flair and broaden the chest). Suit pants lengthen legs and perfectly fit a man's butt. Tucked-in shirts show off a skinny body as well. But when it comes to the shoes, belt, and tie, you can really tell his style. And men always comb their hair nicely and groom their beards/shave when they dress up in suits, so they present themselves better in general
Silly troll @massb
I knew he was an automechanic and a bouncer before I agreed to date him, so no great career. I dumped him because he cheated on me, nothing to do with his pocketbook
Funny that I don't wear makeup except for costumes and special occasions. I don't have any identity other than my "true" identity
Your accusations are unattractive and show your true identity of jealousy. Go find some self-esteem and a hobby
@DJZest
Thank you. I was just on a roll when I wrote that and the picture you included gave me plenty of inspiration. I like writing because words seem to come out better than when I speak. And as for researching, I have a natural tendency to overanalyze things because my brain never shuts off, so I'm kind of always researching and observing things
Thank you. I can't believe I ever fell for him in the first place, but I learned a lot from it
Suits to me represent a sense of power and masculinity, probably due to the types of careers that associate with them. The reason that they are worn on special occasions makes them special as well since to most everyday females who don't see men in suits, when they see them all dapper, it makes them swoon. I love going to a wedding or a formal work function/gala where I can ditch my normal clothes and stand besides my man in a nice button down and suit.
A suit is especially sexy if it's fitted properly and the man in it is also well groomed!
I don't like all suits - only certain kinds - and I find some guys look better just in regular clothes but for me, its not the suit - but the professionalism that makes me notice a guy - if he seems like he is very intelligent and ambitious and serious and respectful and accountable and responsive and intellectually involved - it makes me like him more. Suits make him seem professional.
Women are very impressed by superficial things. Appearances matter more to them than reality. Form is more important than function.
A guy could be a very successful serial killer by wearing a nice suit, driving a nice car, and smiling a lot. Like Ted Bundy.
Women are always on the lookout for that dangerous-looking guy in a dark hoodie with a pot-belly and ugly features, stringy hair, bulbous nose, beady eyes, they'll be so focused on how much that guy looks like a serial killer, they'll be relieved when Ted Bundy sidles up next to them and asks them if he can buy them a drink, they're like, "Oh thank God, this guy will protect me!"
And unbeknownst to her, that big ugly guy she was so afraid of would protect her if only he knew she was in any danger, but if he looked over, he'd see her wrapped around the arm of a guy in a suit, looking up at her killer with worship in her eyes.
It's the goddamned talking snake again.
It’s not the suit it’s the status. A suit says I have a job and it’s a job that requires I wear a suit and it’s a nice suit so it’s probably a high paying job which of course means I can provide for you and/or a family. Like pretty much all male clothing it’s all about signaling a particular lifestyle. Male clothing tends not to care too much about accentuating male physical features as much as ladies clothing does because on average men tend to be far more influenced by physical appearance than women.
Bruh. I wore a suit yesterday. I don't have a job and never had one. #justseniorpromthings
@Luke______ why do you think senior prom exists? It’s depicted as part of a coming of age story in literally every single story it’s in. It’s the western worlds universal symbol for transitioning out of social childhood. The suits are there as potential status signals rather than actual status signals. Everyone knows at a prom that there’s a big chance you don’t have a job. Everyone also knows you haven’t even started on a career yet and have a ton of adult life still ahead of you. High school dating and college dating to an extent are almost entirely based around future potential not current ability. That’s why many people like to find their mates early in life. It’s a higher stakes gamble. If you can luck out and grab someone with a lot of potential before that potential manifest into reality you get the life you wanted without the competition that would come later in life when their attractive features are more concrete and easy to notice.
It’s where the adage “all the good ones are taken” comes from. Also what clothing signals doesn’t have to line up exactly with what that person’s actually like. That’s why many shy conservative girls dress a little sexier when they go out to clubs and parties. And why some honestly lazy guys walk around in gym clothes everywhere. The signals you put out match what you want to show not necessarily who you actually are. And often times people wear stuff that unconsciously signals things. Often times it’s what they want to signal they just don’t know that’s what they’re doing and instead they’re simply following the templates that society has given them. Want to be take seriously wear a suit. Want to look active and healthy walk around in gym clothes. Are you a county boy? Maybe some boots and camo. Nothing says you need to wear gym shorts to excercise but that clothing style is so tightly linked towards being active by society that you don’t question. It’s like a uniform almost

Well, at least there is nothing sexy in that picture you put there. Because the suit doesn't fit him, it's too tight and the panels make it look more like an old mans suit. However, if the suit fits the man it looks sexy because it frames their character in a way it makes us focus on their body shape and brightens their face. It also makes them look classier and more convincing in some situations.
Don't like that guys suite in the picture looks too cheap and tacky in my opinion. I really like when men go more with the classic style it looks sophisticated and smart and powerful all very sexy traits in men, women desire. I think you could get any random man off the street put him in a good suit and he'd suddenly look 100 x more sexier than before. Wish more men wore them.
Like Alex Turner's suits. He rocks it
@ArcticHamsters definitely perfect example of a sexy man in a suite 😍👌
Depends how they wear the suit. Not all men who wear suits are sexy. If the man wears the suit in a laid back way and slightly undone it shows he is well dressed, fun and confident which is sexy as hell. However if the man is completely groomed head to toe like the picture above it gives off the vibe that the man is vain which is a turn off for a male.
Well it depends on the suit... if the suit defines the masculine figure of the man then yassss... so better find a good one, but then any clothing would do, just don't wear any shorts or slippers on dates. Make sure to smell nice
Suits signify power to women... and which woman doesn't like a powerful man. I had this conversation in my class as to why women like a man in a suit, but men tend to avoid women in a suit. its all cuz of the same reason... power. women like it in a man, men shy away from it in a woman. And please... tell me you haven't worn a nicely fitted suit and looked at yourself in a mirror... I know when i do, my broke ass feels like a million bucks... its a thing i guess..
it makes guys look powerful. most young guys wear a suit without a tie and their shirt collar open neck which looks sexy

In my opinion - it’s quite cute and handsome because they’ve obviously gone out of their way to make an effort in looking smart and most guys look really good in a suit. Also if they are wearing it for me then it’s showing they’ve made an effort to look good for me.
The proper suit can make him look dignified & well-educated.
Well
It does show how the body looks In a great way
The colors usually have a great effect on the man's face
The clothing style it self and the alignment of it shows a man in a better way
I mean it looks so epic
Here is one for the #Abdfansclub
I always felt that girls get the short end of the stick when it comes to be being visually pleased by their partners. I mean, we get bikinis, fancy dresses that shine, and lingerie for god's sakes! What do they get? Oh, a suit, and for casual wear just a plain shirt with jeans. How cute.
I wore a suit for my father's funeral. I wasn't sure about it. I bought it at a thrift shop for $4. I put it on, and I looked damn good. One of my nieces even took a photo of me. I was a dashing man for a day.
I think it's the same with women. When a girl wears a pretty dress, all eyes are on her.
And before u say, how good can a $4 suit look... It was a $200 suit that I just happened to find. For 4 bucks. Father would be proud.
Taking off the suit.
Just kidding. A suit is nice for dressing up but it isn’t all that is necessary for a man to be sexy.
Agreed!!!
Haha, thanks @Mikey_Ramone!
Hahaha you're welcome! But one question: why did you laugh? xD
Because I was being silly when I gave my initial reply to the question. But I am enjoying that people liked my response.
Why did you laugh?
Well I laughed because you laughe, love! Silly me. LOL.
Laughed *
Well I’m glad I could make you laugh!
To me, suits have always meant intelligence, money, power, and sometimes religious. Depends on the setting. It's mostly the power thing that's attractive to me.
I always think a man in a suit stands more upright and has an air of greater confidence.
Have you tried not standing upright in a suit? If you have you know why everyone is doing that...
@Luke______ Ha-Ha. Oh well, let me just say it looks nice but I appreciate that it's not a style for everyone.
I didn't say I don't like wearing a suit. All I said was that it's borderline impossible to not stand upright while wearing a suit and not tearing it...
they look elegant and much more classier. Plus in my option a guy who wears a suit becomes 30% more attractive lol.
I love a man with style. Suits just shows the man has some sense in style and is confident enough to flaunt it. It all depends on the suit and fit though.
I don't know, it just is... I never thought about why... Good question
Honestly I’ve got no idea but it makes them look so much sexier
Nothing, I don't like suits, I prefer guys in casual clothes.
For me it's the thought of someone who takes care of themselves and has a job they are very involved in. Also a form of dominance. The sophisticated look. Someone who knows what they want and gets it.
A well fitted suit makes them look well dressed and like they know what they want
@massb Dude, seriously, money doesn't mean jack shit. It's so much more than that. The number of single dateless young millionaires I work with would be swimming in pussy if that were the case. None of them could get a date for their lives because they are lacking in confidence and personality.
@LeoElias hahaha
Nothing, usually. It only does justice to guys who are already really hot because of the lapels and the jawline. But in any case, I'd rather see a hot guy wearing leather than one wearing a suit.
It looks classy. I love how my boyfriend looks like wearing a suit. But then again, I love him in any clothes he might wear. And without any at all. xD
The only times I have been hit on in person in the last decade were when I was wearing a suit. It signals that a guy has at least a decent income and some idea of how to dress nicely.
It just looks nice and fitted, a man who takes care of himself is sexy
A suit makes you look important who wears suits? Lawyers, entrepreneurs and politicians.
Those men have one thing in common they exude leadership. Leadership = dominance and dominance is sexy to women
I don't know honestly. Personally I've never seen it as a sexy thinh
It's pretty much the same thing as girls getting dolled up
Im guessing it means something like intelligence, power and money, not sure though 🤔
Tbh I prefer it when a guy can rock casual clothes.
The possibility of him fainting in the heat... Obv.
lmao

Every girl is crazy about a sharp dressed man! It shows taste, class and confidence.
It shows Wealth and Power. I think it is sexy as fuck when a woman wears a suit with a skirt. It is really intimidating so soo incredibly sexy!
Suits just make u look good they broaden your shoulders, make you look fuller, classy can be sexy. Yet seems most people here just think It means he’s got money
Nothing in my opinion
I much prefer a guy in fishnets and a medical bandage

WHAT LINGERIE IS TO MEN ,
SUIT IS TO WOMEN 😉😇
Oh, I had no idea it´s supposedly sexy. Thank for letting me know.
I never knew, but a suit can make just about any man look great
I don't know it's just sexy...
It's not the suit itself that is attractive to women, it's the implication of power and success a suit conveys that women find attractive.
He looks
Like a girl why is he standing like
That?
In suits - fine and sophisticated men
In rugged clothes - manly and sexy
i don;'t like wearing suits cuz i get over hot in them.
My wife has made it plain to me: POWER!
A good suit says "power", and women like power.
She also makes sure my suits look good.
Suits look pretty cool at least the black and dark blue ones, but its never been my type to wear suits.
Just like little black dress on a women. It's classy, and class is sexy to me.
If it turns them on then why not man? Get them in the sack easier
Plaid suit? No. Plain suit though is a big ass yes.
The possibility of him having a large sum in the bank.
Its the uniform for business men. Women love uniforms. It shows coherence with a social hierarchy.
Nothing, in my opinion
I'll let you know when I slip into my 3 piece suit Thursday 😉
It just looks good
It's a status symbol, suits can also improve your silhouette
looks put together
kinda like how we like cheerleaders. the uniform just looks put together
It defines a man's edges...
it just is
It implies he has money and/or social status
Bomb ass cuff links. 🔥
I don't know why but it's SO HOT
Idgaf about money. If I love the guy and he makes 20k a year, it's whatever. Love isn't money.
I don't think you get what I'm saying...
20k a year isn't even a lot 😅
That's what I'm saying, idc if he doesn't make a lot of money if I love him.
Yeah I feel guys who give the "women only like money" speech usually just have no social skills and then they blame something else for their lack of success
Maybe, I just wish people didn't generalize.
@skateranon don’t assume shit , money tend to go after guys with suits because of money , power and status. And 20k and year is not a little but not a lot it’s in the middle. So she’s saying it’s not a lot but if he doesn’t make that then she will not be with him say he makes 18 or 19k then she won’t be with him understand at the end of the day if does boil down to how much money he makes then she will want more and more
That's not what I said...
