This is a fault on old societies part.
In old tradition men were expected to ask women out.
Thus women had a wave of suitors to choose from.

They could choose who they liked from a large population thus making them more picky as they could get away with it.

I see what mtgow and incels are doing even if I'm not one myself.

Removing the large amount of choice women have would get them to value average guys more as they have less to pick from.

It's a win win if you thing about it.
Women always complain about getting way to many approaches.

If they have less then either they live alone or have to make their standards more realistic.

I think "attractive" here refers to attractiveness as a whole, not just superficial looks. OkCupid is quite a bit different than Tinder in that profiles show much more than just a few pics and a few lines of text. There's a lot categories and questions that can be filled out by the users. On OkCupid - unlike on Tinder - you can actually choose people based on far more than just their superficial appearance.

Our male ancestors used to hunt while the females stayed inside our cave. Our vision developed as we needed that to be better hunters while women developed language as a way to kill time. I believe that when women say that men are superficial is because they are uneducated about how the history of our species shaped men to look for visual and behavioral queues as indicators of healthy sexuality in women. The same way, women learned to look for aural queues when looking for those queues.

No, they’re incels cuz they want the most attractive women as well. Men who can’t get laid, have no social skills, no general skills, and nothing to offer women (like a great personality) will always be lower in the dating market just like an ugly woman is. And just because most people are attracted to a few doesn’t mean those few date everyone.

You can read too much into these stats. At least 80% of people are average looking so not really attractive but not ugly either. The issue is most women don't want average.
