I go through friends pretty quickly, anyone else do this too? is it strange?

I have a pretty good amount of friends, but I'm not really that close to anyone, and I don't really see the need for it. I pretty much get a different group of friends every year and don't really talk to old friends afterward. I just noticed this a few weeks ago wen I was texting some people and they all seemed to talk to friends they have had for years. I'm just a bit confused.

Well the older you get the more you tend to change as a person. Most of these changes cause you to grow apart from people you once had common interests with. It happens to every one; you start to learn that there are few people who stay in your life for a long period of time. Most of my close friends I didn't meet until my senior year of high school and even then I really didn't start hanging out with them until I was about 21.

People change through out there lives, even now at 26, my friendships are still changing some for better and unfortunately a few for worse. It's just part of maturing into an adult.

If anything I would suggest that you really start to explore the things you love to do and are passionate about and you'll start meeting people whom you'll want to keep around in the long run.

hmm I have the same problem. With me, I usually end not too good with a group of friends because I'm extreeeemely stubborn and I always want my way. I was glad when the end of year came... or when I moved to another school. I'm learning to keep a more positive attitude now. Try and form strong bonds with your friends and go lots of places and make heaps of memories.

No it's not strange.One is only stuck with family but with friends you can change your mind and change it again.

Ya it happens with a lot of pple, its hard to find truly good friends
