Is there something wrong with liking short guys?

Im a young girl and i find young guys around my age attractive. Sure , i can find older looking guys sexy and all , but i have always had something for androgynous or guys with a mix of harsh features with delicacy to them ( like bruno mars , george michael etc ) .
Im also a tall girl at like 5'10 though my height fluctuates i know sounds crazy but thats back problems oof. But i really like short guys. My favourite height range is 5'3-5'7 and also 5'7-5'11 is nice too but i wouldn't reject a tall guy.

however tall guys seem to all be into being super super tall and big and date tiny women.
I understand most guys hate being shorter than their woman , but i wouldn't wanna have kids with a guy taller than 5'6 cus i dont want my kids to be big. I also just find short guys cute and handsome and sexy , cute in a good way! Cute makes me attracted.
I hate being seen as big or amazon but i still love short guys. I sometimes i wish i was 5'3 so i could date all the hot short guys , and i wouldn't care for the tall guys or any height guys who always wanna dominate or something thats weird to me.
Often people shame me and see it as a bad thing but i find short guys attractive and lots of them are hot and being a tall man doesn't make a man seem any more wow to me.
Id love to date short guys who i find attractive but sadly not just for height but generally me looking not very feminine i feel they won't like me.

So here’s what I’ve noticed, I’m 5’9”+ and almost no guys that are 5’8”-6’3” are into my height, I think it may be really threatening to them... or something but then guys over 6’4” or under 5’7” seem to be interested again! 🤷‍♀️ So if you're into short/really-short guys I’m sure you’ll have NO problem finding someone who will be attracted to your height!! Definitely try a dating app and set your height height preferences, you’ll see! 😁

Yea i never fancied that many men over 6 feet sure they can still be handsome to me but it isn't a requirement to me.
My reasons for wanting to be 5'3 is so that i could date shorter guys and make any guy feel big and masculine around me , to fit in better and look more proportionate , and to have normal sized children.

Most guys prefer short girls , take it from me. Believe me guys get confident and protective with short girls and love them , short girls have power over men. Look at ariana grande, anna kendrick and celebrities like her. Men love them.

And finally a short guys that likes tall girls! I really like short guys , and id say having kids with someone my height will make our kids really big so id prefer a shorter guy for that reason too.

I tend to like a woman who seems more grown up and womanly as opposed to short and childlike, and I think a tall woman has more potential to be so, as well as classy and beautiful in an adult way.

And while I like cuteness, I cannot honestly say I am attracted to it in that sort of way.

I just find that most tall men to be kind of cocky , not all of course. But they are told by society that all women love them, and that they are the best. And they tend to have a complex about dating really small women to look bigger, which tbh looks weird to me but i dont usually judge people it is up to them to do whatever they want.
In my opinion height does not make a man more or less attractive if he is already good looking , a 6'5 and a 5'5 man with the same look and personality would still be attractive , and for me personally id most likely end up with the 5'5 one.
Tall men just think they are superior and it is kind of tiring to be with a man who is always trying to show off how manly he is and thinks he is the epitome of hotness and whatever simply because of being tall.
However it is hard to overlook the fact that most guys prefer cuteness in girls , but more mature guys prefer mature women and they are a rarity among guys around my age range.
I hardly meet a 35+ year old man who is like 'mm yes give me an ariana grande type of woman' . And some guys in the age range of 21+ who are more mature than the average young man also do not go for that whole small young girl thing.

I tend to think we have society to thank for that, young men are often bombarded with media telling them that if they are not tall, they are not masculine, which I do not believe, just as women are told the same, only about being short.

So then we have not only the tall, cocky men you mentioned, but also I noticed that short girls seem to have a similar attitude, while tall women and short men tend to be viewed as somehow being inferior.

As far as cocky tall men go, I tend to feel similarly about the short women for the same reason.

Not to mention that they always try to push the idea that the man has to be taller than the woman, even though there is no real reason for it.

A woman's femininity is not determined by her height any more than a man's masculinity is by his height.

I think that this "cute short girl" trend started back in the 70s since I remember a show I liked made before the 70s had a tall, mature woman (in her 30s) as one of it's characters, but then in the 70s, they switched her out for a short and youthful looking girl that constantly had to be rescued.

I agree. Also lots of short girls are obsessed with tall guys even if she is 5'1 , which is crazy because for a woman of that size , 5'8 is big enough let alone a tall man like 6'2 , but to each their own i guess.
And yeah maybe but at least models exist ans guys would not mind a taller girl if she was attractive , but it is still seen as ideal to remain below 5'8 for women and for tall girls anything above 5'10 and society finds it unacceptable.
I just wish there was such a thing like modelling or a positive thing in society for shorter men as well , but when you think about there are ( for example there are quite a few rich and successful short men , and bodybuilders generally look better when they are short , many models date men shorter than them etc ) .
Society has a lot of stupid rules , some that do not have any biological explanation to them so in my opinion keeping an open mind isn't a bad thing.
Plus i would prefer a man to be mentally mature and those type of guys like the look you like ( the mature , grown up woman ) . I am only 18 right now so it is hard to like how i look when all other girls my age look 15 , but i am going to be a grown woman one day and accepting that grown women are adults who should act like adults , my look certainly will help me feel more grown up and independant and i see nothing wrong with that even if society sees otherwise.

Personally, my height does not really bother me, but still, I do not care for seeing tall women (who look great in my opinion) and short men being put down for something that does not even really matter.

And I feel that most only want taller men/shorter women for an ego boost, which I do not need.

And I personally prefer a mentally mature woman, which unfortunately, seem to be quite rare as most girls I have met seem to act immature in an attempt to seem cute, of course that also includes the "spoiled princess" types.

But I hope and pray that you find a good, mentally mature man who loves you for who you are.

Plus i am not taller than the average man in most countries but most men still do not prefer it when women are their height or taller. I also happen to really like guys who are short.
Also age really is a big factor of it. It really feels that most young guys are obsessed with looks and have low self esteem so they prefer the little young girl look. I am only 18 and i wouldn't have a problem dating a guy who is 26+ but even then you find guys who are 25-30 who are still immature. I would have to date older and it would be difficult for most men who are say 33 to accept my age.

Yeah, most 33 year old guys would find an 18 year old too young. There is nothing wrong with your preference, but it is quite unusual, so it will be harder for you to find a suitable boyfriend. Are you comfortable taking the initiative with the guys you are interested in?

Honestly no , it is too hard for me to do that. I have no problem showing a guy I like him but I would be too scared to make the first move.

I understand that that is hard to do, but young guys in particular often won't just run with the ball when you talk to them because they may not get that you're really interested in them, especially when you are much taller than them. When you have a non-standard preference, you need to take the initiative more.

That said, although I usually don't advise people to date online, in your case, it might be easier to do because you can clearly state the height you prefer your boyfriend to be.

Yes, it gets tougher to find one when you factor in personality and other aspects of compatibility, but it's not impossible, especially if you have some flexibility on his age. At any rate, a guy worth being with is going to be more focused on things like personality than looks, and you are more than merely a tall girl.
