Girls! do you compare your boobs with friends'? Silently or openly?

I don’t compare my boobs with my friends boobs, but my friends do compare theirs to mine, sometimes and I find that a little odd because I don’t consider I have big boobs (38DD).

I’d consider 42ddd as big, so I do disagree when my friends say I have big boobs because I consider they are “medium” 🙊🙈😅

I never thought about it that way, but perhaps that was the reason behind their comparison but they know sometimes I am not too happy about them when my blouses don’t close properly, yet I’d never wish to have them any smaller either or compare myself to other gals.

That is a real blessing! So many women these days are unhappy with their bust size, and it causes them a lot of pain. And for men, to have a woman who really appreciates her own figure is very attractive. Sounds like you have the best of both.

I agree, it might also have to do with all these beauty expectations pushed by social media that brings more insecurities to women to accept their bodies as they are. If a woman is not aware enough, that can be horrible for her self esteem. I just try not to focus too much on my body but mainly on my knowledge and personality. You nailed it! Social media in our culture makes it very difficult.

It's funny, how standards can affect people. I always wondered why so many models are so ridiculously thin, but then I found out it's because they can wear most styles of clothes and still look good. So it has nothing to do with the attractiveness of the models themselves as the ultimate fitness standard, but it's the clothes they are wearing. And you think about how many girls assume that is the ultimate beauty standard? It's terrible, and sad.

I showed them the video then, but they refused to see the bottom line of the content of the video, it might seem like a silly video but the deep message is a real problem in most people who want to cover their imperfections. I don’t like that my friends comment on my body because 1. I get awkward about it and start questioning if they are being honest 2. I question their perception of beauty and 3 . Are they comparing themselves to victimize themselves and attain attention? Yup... that’s the usual me taking their comparisons or compliments when it involves my body! 😂😂😂

That does not sound like a fun situation to be in. It also sounds like they are not complimenting you as much as commenting. I hope you have a friend who understands how you feel about this, and doesn't behave in a way that is either attention-seeking, belittling, or duplicitous.

Yes I have only 1 friend who is like that, thought the years... those gals I once considered friends, they just became acquaintances. I don’t have much tolerance for self victimization and attention seeking. 😒😏

I don't either. I know that you are the summation of the five people you spend the most time with, and so I have no reason to spend a lot of time with someone who is tearing them self down. I feel sorry for them, but I'm not going to let that poisonous attitude become part of my worldview
