Well if she wants you to be all macho all the time then she doesn't love you for who you are. Let her go. If she wants to be more sexually satisfied then all you need to do is work on your mannerisms and way of putting yourself forward and be more aggressive in bed perhaps. Ask her what she wants. Also, don't show your emotions as much to her. It's great to show emotions but not at a level beyond what your partner feels is good. However, if you do all that and then feel uncomfortable with the relationship because you don't like acting so masculine or doing those things on bed or you need to tell your emotions to someone intimate (which is absolutely a good thing) then she isn't the one for you. Another thing she might means is that she wants you to be more muscular, so ask her about that.

The worst thing you can do is to try to please her. If she suggest something like this again just tell her that you're man enough and if she has any trouble seeing it she can go and look elsewhere. Also, it always helps if you start telling her what to do it your free time (but it has to be something she will find amusing) and just generally start to call the shots and disregard everything she says unless it suits you. Also... stop acting as if you care about her.

She is testing you and trying to provoke you. Cave in and no matter what you do to change according to her demand it will not be enough. That is because areal man is the one who works on himself, thinks for himself and knows who he is and who HE wants to be. It is the strength of your personality that makes you a man not some behavioral pattern or a specific action.

Just ask her what she means by "man up". Perhaps you'll realize that what she thinks is manly, doesn't align with who you are/want to be as a person...and perhaps you won't want to change to please her. But if she gives you useful feedback, then all the better for you. In the worst case scenario, where she's not able to articulate what it is she means...and has no concept of her own as to what manly really is...then she's probably just discontented overall, either with you, herself or life in general. I'm sure she's a lovely person, but don't allow anyone to hang your self-esteem out on pole to blow in the wind like a flag.
