Why are females such attention seekers?

Since my country went into lockdown, every day in the news I've seen fluff articles about females attention seeking on social media. They might be complaining about dating, their mental health or doing some nonsense social media thing that involves taking photos of themselves (of course). It's like females cannot survive without being the centre of attention somewhere.

Why are females like this? Why do they constantly seek attention?
