Pretty simple as somebody who doesn't wear bikinis:

1. They want to feel like a woman. Many women are judged for not sexualizing themselves. Bikinis are seen as only what women wear. One-pieces are seen as what children wear.
2. Many consider it the standard and rite of passage to womanhood. Anything less than showing most of your body, unless sport related is considered prudish and that you're not comfortable in your body. Which is not true at all.
3. They mainly want validation and acceptance from other people.
4. Some do it because it feels hot outside. So it's understandable. But if it looks mostly trashy and raunchy, they want sexual attention. Point blink. Especially form attractive men they want to have sex with. If those men don't pay attention to them, they will feel offended, not sexy, good enough, ugly, etc. So more respectable people would accept your concern as well as respect anyone who rather not dress as they dress. Others who shame you for not wearing one are not people you should respect just because.
5. They are attracted to how he feels to their body.

So there are various reasons for these 5. So the best things men like you should do, do not give those types of women attention. Respect them, yes. But you don't have to look at them or talk to them. If they can't get your attention then it's not your problem.

Well, for one thing... to get a tan! I mean, if you (or your friends) believe girls wear bikinis only to attract men, then why do married women wear bikinis? What about girls with boyfriends? Can we PLEASE take this belief that women only wear sexy or revealing clothes to attract men, into the woods and shoot it! Then when the ridiculous belief is dead, bury it as deep as possible! women in overly reveling swimsuits in public. often wear them to draw attention to themselves at least to some degree.

however regardless of the woman's swimsuit type. if it flatters her body type well. there is bound to be someone male or female. who looks at her in a more sexual manner. it is just human nature. to glance over and stare at someone you find attractive.

So if it isn't to attract men, it could be for tanning purposes because a lot of girls like to tan as much as possible. Also it's an awkward placement of private parts in general. You spots all the way down there and all the way up there that have to be covered, and I know some girls that like the feeling of less clothing on them.

They like that style, they want to tan all over their bodies, or they want to show off for other girls. I wear bikinis because I like that style of swimsuit. I wear them whether I’m swimming alone, with family, with female friends, or at a beach or pool with guys around. And I’ve never noticed guys checking me out when I wear them so if I were trying to get their attention I wouldn’t keep wearing that style.
