Not necessarily, my guy friends have hugged me before and it is just that. A couple of them are more like brothers to me, which both I practically launch myself at when I see them as they dont visit often. Do the same to one of their partners as she's amazing and I miss them both

one of my best mates does that as he is super tall... he is like a brother to me and we are completely platonic... I make jokes that him and my boyfriend are the real couple as they are so close. The three of us have been hanging out just the 3 of us long before my boyfriend and I dated
But anyone else I would not accept this and would push them off
