Guys, Does a guy that you've recently met like you if he hugs you for like a minute in the middle of talking when you haven't hugged before?

I was at a friend's party, and I mentioned to this guy that my friend's toddler son really likes me. The guy replied with:" I like Sandy too". I thought he meant my friend's second toddler, who happens to have the same name as me. I said:" You mean my friend's daughter, right?". He pretended not to know she had the same name as me. Then, later on the same night, I gave him some advice. It was just the two of us, and suddenly, out of nowhere, he leans in and gives me this ulta-long hug. It was around a minute. Do you guys think he likes me romantically? I am confused.

I think he more than just likes you I think he believes your the one for him or he’s been in a rough situation like I have. Most men spend their days alone and want someone they can trust. Sometimes they don’t know how to express this and want to express it another way where they feel is right. As someone myself who has been single for a very long time he must also have been and wants you because he doesn’t know where else to look.

Also most men don’t care about wether a situation is romantic or not. What should matter most to you is that he cares about you especially since he wants to hold onto you. Personally I can’t think of anything more romantic than that.

I would wonder if he’s drunk or suffering from trauma. A minute long hug seems very long. Could you tell how he felt emotionally?

I'm not sure. He had been going through a tough time. His heart was beating fast and maybe it was just 30 seconds but it was definitely much longer than a casual hug and in the middle of talking. So not a good bye hug.
