Would you mind explaining your theory of the gender differences in society?

Well we do certainly live in a patriarchy, but fortunately things have been improving. But there are still some disparities. For example, beauty standards for men and women are completely different. Women are expected to have big boobs, flat stomachs, big butts, with flawless skin, styled hair, makeup, and more. The beauty industry is centered around making women feel insecure so that they spend billions on makeup, body shakers, skin care, hair care products, wigs, weaves, lashes, etc. Meanwhile men don’t experience this same pressure. A good portion of men roll out of bed and wash their faces with the same rag they wash they’re ass with, and then go out and start their day. The amount of effort is completely different. But I blame women for that one. So many women will still date men do the bare minimum so there’s no motivation to change.

@shushhhhh The statement “men are trash” is more of a “if the shoe fits wear it” kind of statement. If you know you aren’t trash then just let it go. I’m pretty sure the women that genuinely hate men are in the minority. It’s just incredibly frustrating for women living in a society where they’re bound to impossible standards while men are not. But like I said, part of that is our own fault. We enable it by allowing it. Women need to stop dating men that cheat, or men that expect us to do all the house work, or men that don’t even do the bare minimum to take care of themselves.

@shushhhhh personally I try not to go too crazy trying to achieve societal standards of beauty. I do wear make up and all that jazz, but I try not to let it overwhelm me. But I do put in a good amount of effort, time, and money. I keep in good shape, I dress well, I do my make up, I try to keep my hair styled, I have a good skin care routine, I exfoliate and moisturize, I keep my feet pedicured.

To extent society’s opinion does matter. It’s literally a proven fact that people treat beautiful people better in almost all aspects of life. I sometimes enjoy putting the effort into myself because there are a lot of perks that come with being attractive and having good social skills. A lot of people that complain about stuff, like not being able to get a date for example, are the same people that put no effort into their appearance. But it’s more than just relationships. Beautiful people get free stuff, and people are typically nicer to them, view them as more trust worthy, and people are more likely to let them off with a warning when they get in trouble. Taking care of yourself physically and mentally doesn’t just impact you, it also impacts the way people react around you.
